A short visit to New Orleans

Below are some photographs I took on a recent visit to this city
  •  from our bus the view of the  LOUISIANA SUPERDROME. We were travelling from the airport to our cruise ship. The ships berth was under Mississippi River Bridge

  1.  Ticket collector onboard the street car

The street car we rode from the dock to the French Market. The cost was $3 for all day This was a great way to get around the city,  we had limited time available to travel too far.

Another property dressed up for the Christmas festivities

One style of transport along Bourbon Street

A bar, Music Legends Park, also on Bourbon Street. Music was being played so we called in for a drink.

 Steamboat Creole Queen

Shopping Mall right besides the ships berth

Just leaving the berth for the next port, it was very surprising to be informed that it was 100 miles to the Gulf and would take the ship 7 hours to reach the open water. Another surprise was how foggy it was on the river
